This week is all about booksellers and Book Expo America, next week features a fun night that I hope you’ll join me for.
READINGS ON THE 4TH FLOOR is a very cool reading/speaking series that benefits the library at PS 107 (otherwise known as the Knuffle Bunny school).
In the past this series has included such luminaries as Paul Auster, John Hodgman, Sara Vowel, David Rackoff, Jonathan Lethem and more. This time the school decided to take it down a notch and invite these guys:
Yup, that’s me, author Jon Scieszka (The Stinky Cheese Man), animator Mr. Warburton (Codename: Kids Next Door), and muppeteer/writer Joey Mazzarino (Sesame Street).
The evening is entitled Making Milk Snort Out of Your Kids Nose: Experts Explain and will feature puppets, drawings, eccentricity and the inevitable booger joke.
The event is TUESDAY JUNE 5TH AT 7:30PM in lovely Park Slope Brooklyn.
Seeing as my wife is head of the library committee, it behooves me to encourage you to get your tickets now!
(oh, and here’s a nice review of Elephant and Piggie)
