What will it be?

As I posted on my website, DON’T LET THE PIGEON DRIVE THE BUS! won the Georgia Children’s Book Award yesterday.

While in general I feel that the entertainment industry over awards itself (I don’t see plumbers getting dressed up every week to attend yet another ceremony), this one is special to me because Georgia (like many states who have similar awards) chooses its winners by the votes of actual real-live reading KIDS.

Sorry, but that’s just cool.

Another cool thing is waiting to see what you’ll get in the mail. Past awards have ranged from medals:

To hovering medals:

To certificates:

To plaques:

To ceramic bulls reading your book (Yay, Vermont):

Thanks kids!
