June Schedule!

The usually quite month of June turns out to have a few fun public appearances scheduled.  If you're in the area, please do drop by.

Remember to check with the venue regarding signing policies, etc...

Saturday, June 11, 2pm: Northampton, MA

Ice cream social and book signing at Booklinks to celebrate the release of Elephant and Piggie's latest drama, "Should I Share My Ice Cream?"
150 Main Street (in Thorne's)
Northampton, MA 01060

The first 100 families who buy a book & get it signed will also get free Herrell's ice-cream!

Ice cream and books in a small town, what could be better?

This event is open to the public.

Monday, June 13: Amherst, MA

Lecture at the Illustration Master Class. This intensive has an insanely brilliant roster of illustrators teaching and lecturing.  Not sure if there's still space to register for this series, but if you draw or paint with any seriousness, this is the class to enroll in.

This event is for attendees only.

Wednesday, June 22, 3:30 pm:  Savannah, GA
326 Bull St
Savannah, GA 31401

This will be my first time signing and reading in Savannah since I visited for a book festival a few years back.

This event is open to the public.

Saturday, June 25, 3 pm: New Orleans, LA
Garden District Book Shop
2727 Prytania St.
New Orleans, LA 70130
5014-895-2266 FAX 504-895-0111

My first public appearance in my hometown for a couple of years.  I'm really looking forward to seeing old pals and new fans in the Garden District.

This event is open to the public.

Sunday, June 26: American Library Association Convention, New Orleans, LA

I'll be on the convention floor saying hello to pals (along with Elephant and Piggie) and doing two signings:

9:30 am- Signing at the Hyperion Books for Children Booth

1:30pm- Signing at the Harper Collins Children's Book Booth

I am most frustratingly sorry to say that as of this posting that Demco's Syncronized Library Cart Competition has been canceled for a variety of reasons.  Hopefully, it will return next year and Jon Scieszka and I will have the chance to host again.
This event is for attendees only.

Monday, June 27: American Library Association Convention, New Orleans, LA

9:00 am-  I'll be proudly accepting a Geisel Honor for Elephant and Piggie's We Are in a Book! and listening to Kate DiCamillo and pals' speech.  Looking forward!

PW has a full list of many events occurring over the ALA schedule here.

This event is for attendees only.

That's it for June (and July for that matter).  Hope to see you if you're in the area.
