PBS KIDS GO! story contest winners + 'Mo!

I recently joined a group of "celebrity" judges (including pals & neighbors Tony DiTerlizzi and Jarret Kroscoczka) to look at a slew of awesome stories written by kids from across the country for PBS KIDS.

It was fun to read what kids come up with, although pretty tough to choose (which is the point and drawback of 'judging').

PBS KIDS has announced the national winners.  You can see the stories here!

And remember, you don't need a contest to create an awesome story, just an idea!

Speaking of neighbors, local kid rock star, Mr. G, has just dropped by his latest album ChocoLaLaLa, which features some sweet tracks, including one or two with Trixie Willems on trumpet.  While she's done voice over for numerous films, this is her first tracking session.  Sweeet!

ChocoLaLaLa will be released on September 16th with a special concert at the National Zoo in Washington DC.

I spent much of yesterday chatting on Radio stations across the country (maybe you heard one of them).  One of my favorite conversations (as always) was on WAMC's Round Table.  Joe is a fun interviewer and never asks the same questions that others do.  You can take a listen right here (and look below for previous interviews).

Here is a print interview in advance of my appearance in Phoenix next week with Raising Arizona Kids.

Also, The Wall Street Journal likes the just published GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE DINOSAURS, calling it a "humorous humdinger".

AND, thanks to you, THE DUCKLING GETS A COOKIE?! will find itself on next week's New York Times Bestseller List for the 21st time!  Wowzer!  That's a long time.

Thanks, you!
