February Appearances

As we get set to celebrate the 10th anniversary of DON'T LET THE PIGEON DRIVE THE BUS! I've got some fun appearances coming up in the beginning of February.

Please join me if you can.

Here is the schedule as it stands (remember to check with the venues regarding signing policies, etc):

Sat. Feb 2 at 11am, MoMA Store, Soho, 81 Spring Street, New York, NY

So, Mo at SoHo MoMa!  I'll be visiting to play with the new activity book, DON'T LET THE PIGEON FINISH THIS ACTIVITY BOOK! We'll play some games, have a quick puppet show and I'll be signing afterwards.  Should be fun!

(This event is free and open to the public)

Sun. Feb. 3 at 11:30 am, SCBWI Winter Conference, Grand Hyatt, 109 East 42nd St.

I'll be giving a speech for writers and illustrators entitled "Writing in 3 Easy Steps, 3 Somewhat Less Easy Steps, 2 Pretty Difficult Steps, and 1 Impossible Step" directly after Julie Andrews and her daughter Emma Walton Hamilton as part of what looks to be a pretty amazing conference.  There will be a signing afterwards.

You must register for this event, which does tend to sell out.

Wed. Feb. 6 at 7pm, Barnes & Noble at The Grove, Los Angeles

I'll be reading and signing some of my recent Elephant and Piggie books.  This looks to be my last visit to LA for a while, so if you want some signed books, this is the event to attend. Plus, it's always fun to visit the Farmer's Market next door.

(This event is free and open to the public)

Sat. Feb. 9 at 10am - noon, West Coast Live (the SF Ferry Building, 2nd Fl.)

Tune in or come by in person for this fun radio variety and interview show.  I'll be chatting about the following day's SF Sketchfest show and other stuff.  Looks like pal Dave Barry will also be on the show.  Sould be nuts !

Sun. Feb. 10 at 11 am, Don't Let the Comedians Do Storytime!, Kanbar Hall at JCCSF,  3200 California Street

A full on comedy show featuring  Michael Ian Black, Rachel Dratch, Janeane Garofalo, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Laraine Newman, Patton Oswalt, Andy Richter, Maya Rudolph, and David Wain  performing my books.  This is going to be a blast filled with all kinds of special surprises!

There will be a signing after the show.

(There may be some last minute tickets at the door)
More info about the SF Sketchfest here.

That's it for February. Looking forward to seeing you at one of these events, if you can make it.  March will include events in New York, London, and Oxford, England.
