APRIL APPEARANCES!

April will be a very busy month for me.  I will be traveling, work-shopping Elephant and Piggie's We Are in a Play!, celebrating the Pigeon's 10th Birthday (and my 10th year in publishing), and touring a brand new book with appearances, talks, and even a fancy black-tie gathering.

Here is my public appearances schedule (please make sure to check with the venues regarding entrance and signing policies):

NEW YORK CITY

SATURDAY, APRIL 6, 2PM, BARNES & NOBLE UNION SQUARE.

The official 10th birthday party for The Pigeon.  This will be a great fun event filled with fun give-aways and special surprise stuff & guests! This is the  big NYC show for the kiddies!

I'll be reading and signing!

This event is open to the public.

MONDAY, APRIL 8, 5:30 PM, BOOKS OF WONDER, 18 W 18TH ST.

A conversation with Hervé Tullet.

I'm very looking forward to meeting the great Hervé Tullet.  We will discuss our work, interactivity in books, and all kinds of fun stuff.  I'm a big fan, so it will be fun to discover how his mind works. Organized by the French Ministry of Culture primarily to see how bad my French accent really is... Should be a blast.

There will be a signing following the discussion.

Mo info here.

This event is open to the public.

BOSTON

SUNDAY, APRIL 14TH, 6 PM, THE BOSTON PARK PLAZA HOTEL

The Boston Public Library's 25th schmancy Literary Lights Dinner is a Black Tie affair that benefits the library's collection.  Due to a clerical error, it turns out that I'm a "Literary Light". I'm quite honored to be honored in such great company.  I'll be introduced by my pal, the great Jack Gantos.  We promise to be well dressed and poorly behaved.

Mo info here.

This schmancy event is SOLD OUT.

International Reading Association's 58th Annual Convention

SAN ANTONIO, TX

MONDAY, APRIL 22, 11 AM, SAN ANTONIO CONVENTION CENTER

The IRA 58th Annual Convention.  I'm excited to give the closing keynote address to the International Reading Association Convention.  My speech is entitled:

A Hippopotamus Wouldn't Fit On the Page and Other Reasons That Mo Willems Writes About Pigeons

It looks to be a great conference with a slew of great speakers.

There will be a signing after the speech.

Mo info here.

This event is for convention attendees.

Then, I'll be traveling for a reading and signing my brand new picture book, THAT IS NOT A GOOD IDEA! along with a Pigeon book while answering questions and generally jumping up and down a lot.
