July & August are quiet months with no appearances or events scheduled.  But there are still fun things to chat about:

July is the last month of my sabbatical in Paris, France, drawing and doodling.

You can check out my experiments over at Universal U-Click for a comic-strip-doodle-thingie called PARIS DOODLES . The strip runs drawings, dining room dinner doodles, and photos on weekdays.  As I started the doodles a month after my trip began, they'll be running throughout August as well.

Elephant and Piggie's latest adventure, MY NEW FRIEND IS SO FUN!  published in June and, thanks to you, debuted on the New York Times Bestseller List at #1! Thanks to all who have enjoyed the book.  If you haven't read it yet, I hope you enjoy.

THE PIGEON NEEDS A BATH! had a great month in June as well, keeping Elephant & Piggie company on the New York Times Bestseller list. Thanks, you.

August 26 will see the release of two CAT THE CAT Board books, WHO SAYS THAT, CAT THE CAT? and WHO SLEEPS, CAT THE CAT?  Both are reformatted and revised from the original CAT THE CAT books especially for the youngest hands (and mouths).  I hope you and yours enjoy spending a few minutes with CAT THE CAT and her pals.  Drop by GoMo.net for more information on these (and the other CAT THE CAT board books) and while you're there, why not play some games as well?

The audio book version (of the animated version) of THE DUCKLING GETS A COOKIE!? starring myself and my kid as the Pigeon & Duckling has just been awarded an Earphone Award by Audiofile Magazine, along with a great review. Congrats, Trixie!

The film and audio book are available to the school and library market now (look for a trade release later).

The Players Theatre in SINGAPORE is mounting a production of KNUFFLE BUNNY: A CAUTIONARY MUSICAL from August 23 - September 7th, 2014.

It's the first time all of the action, drama, and laundry has been mounted East of Bahrain. Don't miss it!

The details are here!

Now, THAT's a fan!
I had great fun at ALA running into old pals, meeting great teachers, librarians, & their ilk (even briefly), giving a prize to a Librarian Who Has Faced Adversity with Daniel Handler, and picking up my Geisel Honor for A BIG GUY TOOK MY BALL!  Thanks to all for being so nice.  Let's do it again in not-Las-Vegas.

The award I drew on a big platter...

I'm excited about this classroom/lego contest where kids are encouraged to create their own Pigeon stories in LEGO. The winners will receive a 2 foot tall Pigeon made of LEGO (& a video from me) or exclusive limited edition LEGO MINI-PIGEONS! (yikes!)

Guidelines here.

Entries are due by October 31, 2014.

That's this month's post. If you want to poke around the blog, some topics that might interest you are on the sidebar.

September will have some fun stuff to talk about including new sketches and an exhibit of my Paris drawings...

Meanwhile, I'm sure The Pigeon will keep tweeting...
