The end of October saw the release of NANETTE'S BAGUETTE, a picture book I'm particularly happy with.
School Library Journal gave the story its 3rd starred review, saying: "There is so much to discover and enjoy in this treat for eye and ear—even a hidden Pigeon."
The BCCB enjoyed Nanette's adventures as well, saying: "Willems delivers a twofer here, a deft story of a child who fell from pride to temptation and an over-the-top, sometimes tongue-twisting rhymefest."
The Wall Street Journal also liked it, saying: "Loud visuals full of explosive shapes (the “krack” of the crust shoots Nanette into the air) and an insouciant ending make this an ideal read aloud for noisy children."
BookPage chimes in, saying: "Breaking bread with a frog is wildly funny when it comes from Mo."
I hope that you'll get a chance to pick it up at your favorite local book shop or library.

I'm very excited that the folks at YOTTOY have created a pair of ELEPHANT & PIGGIE BOOKENDS which include a 'hidden' Pigeon!
Organization is so much fun with our new Elephant and Piggie bookends that combine function and style! Made of durable precision-cut metal with high gloss coating, Elephant and Piggie sit comfortably back-to-back to prop up their bestselling book collection. Soft blu-grey Elephant separates from peppy pink Piggie to support all your books with ease. Look out for Pigeon, as he makes a surprise appearance on this set of bookends just as he does in Mo's books!
You can get your bookends HERE!
Oh, and the folks at Signals have released a set of ELEPHANT & PIGGIE PJ's!
As the holidays approach, might I point you to MO WILLEMS STUFF, a site that lists everything officially available of my work, from Books to clothing, art, cartoons, posters, stuffies, and Mo'. It's not a merchant site, and tries to link to the indie vendors who produce the stuff.
If it's not on the site, it's not official.
Thanks to you, Elephant & Piggie's final adventure, THE THANK YOU BOOK! stayed on the New York Times Bestseller list for much of October, totaling 23 weeks!
I love to doodle during dinner. So do my talented pals Lisa Brown and Bob Staake. In this Booklist interview, the three of us talk about the Dao of Doodling...
If you'd like to see some of my cartoons and doodles, check out FROM THE MO WILLEMS SKETCHBOOK., which features 25 months of drawings and ideas from Paris, France, Northampton, MA, and beyond. They're currently re-running, so you can see an old, new drawing every day!
Meanwhile, I'm sure @The_Pigeon will keep tweeting...
